Ilayathalapathy Vijay much awaited movie "Velayudham" hits 105 screens in Kerala with heavy welcome. M.Raja, actor Jayam Ravi's brother, who calls himself the king of remakes, is director and produced by V. Ravichandran's Aascar Films. The movie distributed in Kerala through Thameens Release. 
The movie thread begins with a village backdrop, where Vijay, his sister Saranya Mohan and his girlfriend Hansika Motwani were living happily. As his sister gets ready for her marriage, he leaves to city to withdraw the money from the chit fund, where he had deposited it long back. Soon he realises that it was a bogus company and he has been cheated.
