IFFK 2012: Paul Cox About Blessy's Movie Kalimannu ''Why celebrate violation?''- Paul Cox on the birth scene in Blessy's 'Kalimannu'.     Blessy's upcoming movie 'Kaliveedu' felt the heat of controversy at the 2012 IFFK 2012 . This time none other than eminent Australian filmmaker and Jury Chairman, Paul Cox expressed his opinion about the controversial birth scene featuring Swetha Menon. 'Why celebrate violation', was Paul Cox's rhetorical question on the matter. His movie 'Innocence' is Blessy's inspiration behind the award winning movie 'Pranayam'. The jury chairman was talking at the In-Conversation forum at the 17th International Film Festival of Kerala. IFFK 2012 : This is my Love letter to India: Deepa Mehta

Acclaimed filmmaker Deepa Mehta said that her latest film Midnight’s Children is a love letter to India as quoted by author Salman Rushdie. She was speaking at the press meet conducted at Kairali Theater on the fourth day of International Film Festival of Kerala. She said that it was her third visit to IFFK 2012 and is happy to present the film before malayali audience. Actor Rajat Kapoor said that it was a great experience to portray such a character in a Deepa Mehta film. Rahul Bose described his part in the film as once in a lifetime chance for him. Free food available for IFFK delegates. Anjali theatre at the ESC complex is a haven for IFFK delegates. This is the first time that the theatre is hosting IFFK. Joy Pillai, the MD of the complex and a film enthusiast, gladly agreed to Ganesh Kumar's request to screen movies at Anjali. Along with first rate facilities inside the theater including 4K projection, many services have been organised for the delegates.

IFFK 2012 : Malayalam movies at IFFK gets rousing reception

There was a huge crowd to watch the three Malayalam movies which were screened yesterday. The three movies were 'Aakashatinte Niram' by Dr. Biju, 'Bhoomiyude Avakashikal' by T. V. Chandran and 'Shutter' by Joy Mathew. The fist two movies were screened in the competition section of IFFK. Delegates had to stand or sit on the floor and watch the movie for lack of space. IFFK 2012: 'Midnight's Children' Schedule Changed.

The much awaited premiere of Deepa Mehta's 'Midnight Children' will be tomorrow. The IFFK organisers have announced a change in venue for the film's screening. The show will be at Anjali theatre at night, the 4th show. "Ivan's 'Woman" which was originally scheduled at Anjali has been shifted to Kairali.
