Mandira was hugely appreciated for her role in the television soap Shanti. Later, she played a supporting role in the blockbuster 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge'. She even went to the extent of playing a character with negative shades in the lengthy serial 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi'. However, Mandira Bedi shot to fame with presenting Extraa Innings on Set Max during the 2003 World Cup. Now, she shed her sweet girl image by posing topless for the cited magazine. On the side of the picture Mandira boasts about her will power to stay fit. But now she is rather troubled with the kind of reactions that she is getting. The actress has expressed her dissent on Twitter. “Its 1 picture.. 1 of many. & not a cover.. on the inside pages. Honestly, it sounds dodgier than it is,” she tweeted. “I can't seem to understand the hullaballoo either. Its deeply troubling,” she added.
