Director Sathyan Anthikkad treads through his usual path of family saga with a mix of melodrama, clichéd lines and all the ingredients in the formula, yet again. That's the first thing which comes to your mind as you watch his latest film, Kadha Thudarunnu. Yes, there is an okay storyline here and the film has its moments for sure, but the problem is the old-fashioned way it has been packaged.
A sensitive tale, the story begins with the beautiful and glowing lady Vidya (mamta) to whom life is a perfect tale. She has a darling husband Shanavas (asif) along with an adorable daughter Laya (anikha). The story takes a turn when Shanavas goes out in a rainy night to get some fruits and never returns. Despite several attempts, nothing is heard about him and Vidya, Laya are left helpless to a situation where they are driven out of the house by the landlord.
