2009-09-23 04:09:05 Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit has decided to confer D.Litt to Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, Oscar award winner Resul Pookutty and veteran Sanskrit scholar M.H. Sastrikal. State Education Minister M.A. Baby said on Tuesday that the decision has been made taking into consideration their outstanding performances in their respective fields. "The syndicate of the university has cleared the proposal and now it has to be cleared by the Senate," he said. The Sree Sankaracharya University is situated in Kalady, the birthplace of Adi Sankaracharya, in Ernakulam district.
